Katherine Nye, Lmft
Mental health therapist
SHE/HER
Hello! My name is Katherine and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over six years of experience working in school-based and community mental health. I have served adolescents and young adults in individual, family and group settings, working with trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, highly sensitive people, developmental delays, as well as helping those navigate identity, relationships, school-related stress, and various life transitions and challenges. I am passionate about the growing adolescent brain and am skilled in working with teens and young adults from all backgrounds, who are learning to cope through life amidst their pain and adversities.
I wandered into the field of mental health while working as a nanny to three beautiful boys. Prior to finding my passion for mental health, I worked at a vintage shop, in the corporate world, and as a mentor and job coach.
I am a teacher and a learner. Knowledge and people inspire me. Outside of my work, I enjoy walks and runs in the forest, baking, reading, and archery.
I embody strength-based, sociocultural, and systemic-driven approaches in my work with others and strongly believe in the sentiment that we can transform through our suffering. I am enthusiastic about people and believe we can experience life more intentionally when we can let our burdens rest. I hope to be the mirror that can reflect back to you your authentic beauty, justice, and resilience. You deserve that. I am honored to walk with you through your past, present, and future stories.
